Hi all- quick summary of my situation. Working at Employer A full-time under TN status (category: urban planner), was recently offered a part-time adjunct teaching position at Employer B (a university). At the same time, I was recently given a promotion and salary bump at Employer A, with the same job duties.
I now plan to travel to Canada to get a TN for employer B as a university teacher--should be pretty simple--but have a few questions:
1. Lawyers at Employer A now say that, due to my promotion and salary bump, I have to "update" my original urban planner TN during this same visit. I don't really agree--since the job duties are the same. Who is right?
2. If I do need to "update" my original TN petition, does this basically mean two TN adjudications on the spot?
3. How would I obtain multiple I-94s for these two jobs? Right now the CBP website only gives the option to obtain the "most recent" electronic I-94, so I'm not sure how to obtain an I-94 for both my urban planner and teacher jobs.
Thank you in advance!
