I am a Canadian citizen. By profession, I am an Oracle Financials (Functional) Consultant with more ten years of implementation experience (5 years in Canada and rest 5 outside Canada mostly Middle East).

Here is my qualification
- BBA (3 years)
- MBA (1 year) from a reputable business school in Pakistan.

- OCP-Oracle Financials Certificate from Oracle
- Various other certificates of attending technical Oracle programming sessions (SQL, PLSQL, etc)
- PMP (Project Managment professional certificate).

I have got an offer from a US company for 6 months+ contract. Now I have to choose which NAFTA profession to choose to apply for. I am thinking of applying as 'Computer system Analyst' because it perfectly matches what I do . I am a functional business analyst of Oracle financials.

Do experts on this forum see any problem here. Do you guyz think MBA and Computer system analyst are convincing enough for the border officials?
One lawyer on his website states that if you are gong for Computer System analyst category TN visa and your degree doens't have a word 'computer' in it, then one should seek legal advice. Is that true?? The only other category then I see is Management consultant. But I don't 100% do that work. I will have to change my resume to fit role of Managmenet Consultant.

Do you guyz think I should seek legal help. I am using TNVISAEXPERt toolkit to prepare my application. Do I still require more help ..I would greatly appreciate if experts on this forum could help me out here. What can I do to improve my chances here. Do you suggest getting more experience letters from my past employers to support what I have been doing last ten years?

thanks
Zee

Unfortunately your education doesn't match your category, and your experinece does not count. No "kit" is going to make up for that.

According to the occupational outlook handbook for computer system analyst, "For jobs in a business environment, employers often seek applicants with at least a bachelor's degree in a business-related field such as management information systems (MIS). Increasingly, employers are seeking individuals who have a master's degree in business administration (MBA) with a concentration in information systems." There is a direct mention of MBA. You can probably make a case out of that. However, since your degree is from Pakistan, you need to get your degree evaluated. NAFTA never specified which subject the applicant must study other than the hotel manager category. The NAFTA handbook states that the degree should be directly in the field or closely related. If your transcript has courses that are computer related, that will be helpful.

MBA with IT Concentration

I am a MBA in IT from a Canadian University (2 years). I got my credentials evaluated in USA and they evaluated that my MBA is equivalent to an USA MBA

I got a three TN1 visa 2 months ago as a Computer Syatem Analyst.

I hired a lawyer and he put together all the documentation.

I got the TN1 in less than 15 minutes the border.

As the previous user and Nelsona said you have to convince the officer's @ POE that you have a degree with IT concentration
