Class Until?

Hello All,

This probably is a not a suitable question in this forum...but I figured I'd get more answers in this forum than anywhere else.

I re-entered the US last (POE Detroit) night on my travel back from India after 4 weeks of vacation. I am a PR since Dec 2004 (have Indian PP).

The immigration stamp at the POE, has the standard DHS seal with date underneath. Below the date there is a "Class Until" with a line next to it. On the line the immi. officer scribbled some thing like "ARe" or "ARC" (can't make out the scribble)

Does any one know what the "Class Until" means?
Does any one have the same stamp?
Do you know what is scribbled in your PP next to the "Class Until"?
Does any one know what "ARe"/"ARC" means?

Cheers,
Speedy

"Class Until ARC" is a way of US customs stating your status (Alien registration Card) in PP.

Everything normal. That's to indicate that you're a permanent resident so you don't have an expiration date for your stay. This is the passport stamp that permanent residents get. Enjoy.

"Class" - your class of entry. e.g. H1B, L1, ARC etc, etc.
"Until" - authorized length of stay, which obviously depends on "class".
