I been married with my wife for 4years and 11 months she is a citizen. I recently applied for naturalization based on marriage. I got a letter saying that they need last 3 years of taxes but i been filling as a head of house hold because she was having problems with IRS so i was wondering if i can change my application and do it base on the five years. I need help please...

It depends on how long you were an LPR on the filing date of the N-400. You MIGHT be able to switch if you qualified under the regular 5-year rule when you filed.

was 4 years and 6months when i applied

You did not qualify for the 5-year rule when you filed, so you need to either withdraw and re-apply or proceed based on marriage which is more paper intensive (for everyone---not just you). Your choice.

The 5-year applicant can file 3 months early (4 yrs and 9 months--BUT add a week to that and don't cut it TOO close--way too many folks have TERRIBLE math skills when they try to barely meet any requirement).
