Citizenship without intrview

Hi.

When I checked my case status online it stated on the last parapgrah that ;

"Please note that not every application/applicant will require an interview. In some instances, an interview is required by regulation and others an interview is requested because USCIS has determined that this is the most efficient means to determine eligibility. For a naturalization application the interview will include your taking the required English and/or Civics tests (unless exempt or waived)."

Is there anybody got citizenship without interview or does any knows anybody who got the citizenship without interview or whom this exception apply?

Best Regards

No. Interview is mandatory for citizenship. That message is common to ALL types of benefits and it should be obvious that not ALL types of benefits require interviews.

History/Civics and language proficiency tests are given at the interview, another important aspect of the Citizenship interview, I don't think anybody has gotten their citizenship without the interview except natural born citizens.

Childrens of naturalized citizens got their citizenship automatically

WBH, but the children didn't apply for N-400 ;) so xxhwx premise still stands.

He's probably referring to the adults who filed the N-400, then after doing some research or talking to somebody they found out they already derived citizenship as minors, so they didn't attend the N-400 interview.

There is another class of non-born citizens who got citizenship without an interview: the soldiers who were granted posthumous citizenship.

However, if we change the statement from "no one who filed N-400 has ever gotten their citizenships without an interview" to "no one who filed N-400 got the N-400 approved without an interview", I don't think there are any exceptions to that.

What the letter says is correct: not every applicant will get an interview. Some applicants will be denied without an interview for not meeting eligibility requirements. The letter doesn't say that an applicant who is naturalized won't always require an interview; that's your conclusion.
