Citizenship Test Question

For anyone who knows or been at the interview already. Is the the civic test questions are multiple choice answer questions or simple answers and asked by the IO?
Thanks.

The questions are not multiple choice. The IO asks you a question, and you must answer it.

USCIS test

What it does say is that they prefer if you answer within same as one of the multiple choices listed in the prep material. I wonder what happens if you choose the correct answer but not one of the ones listed. Are the IO's knowledgable enough about civics or are they going off some answer guide which lists one correct answer.

I wonder what happens if you choose the correct answer but not one of the ones listed.

If you provide an answer that's not listed by USCIS how could it be considered correct by USCIS? The naturalization test isn't a quiz show where you are giving points on what you think the answer can be.

The questions are straightforward enough and a lot of them have straightforward answers... One could, of course, go deeper with some of the open questions, or remember some important part of Benjamin Franklin's life that is not on the test answers... How many of us did know that Benjamin Franklin helped organize a fire insurance fund, or that he invented a lot of things we take for granted?
