Hi
I am planning to apply for citizenship. When i tried to apply from Connecticut last year I was told that
1) i need to have stayed and paid tax for 3 months prior to applying,
2) I need to have license from the state i am applying for

Please let me know if same is the case with Nebraska

Thanks in advance
Sree

The residency requirements are the same no matter where you live. You need to have resided in the district for at least 90 days before applying.

If i need to reside in the district for 90 days before applying citizenship, what date should i consider, date of postal change or paystub or license, please help me

Seems you even got confused about the US Citizenship Requirement too. Are you aware about Physical residency. Even if you have a green card, you will need have lived physically in the US for at least 5 years as a legal permanent resident. During this period, you must not have lived abroad for more than one year.

And it seems you are confused about physical presence and continuous residence requirements. There's no such requirement of having to live physically in the US for at least 5 years as a LPR.
