A friend of mine is getting his Citizenship interview soon; he made some trips during his 5 years GC period and is concerned about his Physical Presence as well Continuous Residence. He made about 10 small (back to back) trips to Canada in 2005 while he was doing job in a US border city. None of trips was more than a week long and he was keeping his job as well mortgage, bank account, taxes, etc in USA. The purpose of these trips was to see some friends and families while staying close to border. Will he has problem in the interview as those small trips were back to back but total number of days outside US during his 5 years are about 200 while none of trips is more than a month long. Please advice?

10 trips back-to-back of less than a week each? That doesn't even add up to six months. Not even 3 months! Why would you think it is a problem?

Your friend is no where near the physical and continuous residency cutooff limits required for naturalization so he's fine.
