Citizenship-3 month residency requirement

Friends need some help-
I am going to apply for citizenship but I just came back to US last week after 5 months trip to india.
Now there is 3 month residency rule before you apply N400.
So I am eligible to file right now or wait for 3 months?
(I am living at the same address though as I was before)

I assume your trip was just a visit, so you did not break that residency, and you can apply for citizenship.

If you already lived there before you traveled, and then you returned to the same place, you don't need to wait out another 3 months.

No need to reestablish district residency when you return unless you broke it by working in India for a non US company.
