CIC PR card pick up letter

Hi,
I applied PR Card(Landed before June 28,2002 so have IMM1000)
and recently checked processing status via CIC online status check service
CIC received my application on Aug 21,2003 and approved the same on Sept 29,2003.CIC also siad that it will take 6-8 weeks time to receive CIC call letter with actual pick up date
Could anybody who recently got CIC call letter tell how much time it took to receive CIC call letter after PR card approval

--- Do you mean one can check PR CARD processing time or Status Online? What is the link? I think one has to call 1-800 to check the status of PR Card. Do mean you called on I-8000 # or some other CIC online link

----- It seems to be correct. One of my friends mailed the PR card application on15 July and he received letter from Toronto CIC local office to pick up the Card on October 17 the letter he received on Mississauga address.

Yes now you can check PR card processing status via CIC eclient application status sevice

As a matter of fact apart from PR card you can check some other Canadian Immigration/Citizenship related matter also

It seems CIC also trying slowly to catch up INS!!!

For ani70,

I tried to check the status of my PR card but was not successful. I went through the e-client application link and put in my file number. It then took me to the page stating that my Immigration application was now complete. Nothing about the PR card. I don't have a IMM 1000. Could that me the reason?

I landed for the first time on the 9th of Oct. Could you please state how exaclty you got the PR card status.

Hi Nita,
It seems you landed recently and so your PR card will be automatically sent to your Canadian address by CIC(Should be within 4-6 weeks time after landing)
As I landed before June 28,2002 I have IMM1000 and applied separately for PR card.Actually I seacrched on PR card fees financial receipt doc( IMM 5401) on that CIC eclient staus website
I believe you are still in Canada so I would say just call up CIC over 1-800-255-4541 to know your PR card processing status

Thanx for your reply. I was just curious to see if I could track my PR card. I'm now back in the US. At the time of landing the officer said 4-6 weeks as well.

it will be 7 weeks for me in a few days since I landed, I am still waiting for the PR card.

The officer at Pearson told me 2 to 3 months when I asked him...
