Chronic illness and GC approval

Hi-

I have a chronic, auto-immune condition. It was diagnosed couple of years ago. It is not fatal, not infectious or contagious. The prognosis is uncertain in most cases. There might be absolutely nothing for months or years, and then one could have an episode etc, take rest and medication, remission, and the cycle continues.

I have to take medication on a regular basis to keep things under control, and I have been doing well.

I am gainfully employed as a professor in a major research university, and my I-140 got approved recently. I am about to go for my medical, and send in my I-485.

Obviously, I am concerned if this could be an issue with my permanent residency approval. What options do I have?

Thanks,
Kalyandy

The diseases which make you ineligible (you can even appeal that) are those taken care in the form mainly TB, Gonorrhea, syphilis and HIV, do not worry that much about anything else.

I just saw that my case is approved. They did not request for RFE or anything, and they've mailed out the Welcome notice. So, looks like it was not a problem after all.
