Just got my interview letter and it says that we have to bring my husband's child's birth certificate with us. Is that right?

You are doing AOS though your husband, who is a US citizen?
Or GC holder?
we have to bring my husband's child's birth certificate
Who we? Do they invite your husband as well?
How old is his child?
Why are you anticipating that?

What's the problem? Take the birth certificates with you. My wife had her AOS interview 2 weeks back. We took both our kids to the interview, but the IO not only wanted to see the birth certificates of our children, he even kept the originals. I was ok with that since I have 2 more sets of certified copies. The point I am trying to make is, I wasn't really expecting that the IO would put too much weight on the BC, but he did. He even asked my son's age twice and believe or not apart from his age, he even asked me the time he was born. In short, take the birth certificates with you regardless, why take chances and give the IO an excuse for not making the decision on the spot & request you to mail him copies of BC. This will just delay the case.

Now that i re-read the letter, I can see that the custodial papers will do. :D We have that. My husband doesn't have his son's the birth certificate, he would have had to get it from the ex. We still have time till the interview but I was worried we may forget something or not get things together in time if we would have to wait for others.:)
