Checking my fingerprints AGAIN!

Hello all, I am an Iraqi refugee living in Turkey. My case was accepted a year ago(in March, 2010) but waiting for the SECURITY CLEARANCE process to be finished(and it started a year ago!).
They called to check my Fingerprints for the second time after more than a year!
What does that mean?

Fingerprint results stay in the system for 15 months only.
FBI name check results are valid for 15 months and they have no expiration date if they are used for the same application.
IBIS name chec results are valid for 6 months and they have no expiration date if they are used for the same application.

Thanks for the answer assylum. How many years does this process(security clearance or name check) take to be finished?
And why did they not just reject my case so that another country may accept it?
And thanks again.

There is no timeframe for a name check process. Name check process can take few days for some people and can take months and years for some people. It all depends on how common your name is and how many similar names in the database.

Your case approval will be pending until the name check process is fininshed.

Thank you assylum for these useful information. I know that m surname is so very common but I am not sure about my first name. It is a fact that I don't have any thing bad attached to my name and I know for sure that my history is clean. If I didn't commit something bad I guess I won't be rejected, right?
Thanks again.

This is a normal process. If you are cleared, you will receive the approval. The sad part is that you have to wait and no body knows how long it takes. It can takes days or months.

This process is normal for asylum/refugee applicants, Green Card applicants, citizenship applicants, and waiver of inadmissibility applicants.

Hello again! After waiting for more than a year and half for my security clearance they called me for an interview with an American officer from USIC at ICMC in Istanbul!
what does this mean to re-do my interview? does this mean that my security clearance is over? and will they start a new security clearance after this interview?
