I also just called the FBI after talking to USCIS Tier II Officer who told me they have not received the FP results back from the FBI which I found odd. FBI told me that they sent me FPs the same day I took them. What gives? Could the USCIS Tier II Officer be talking about name check? Any input or speculation would be appreciated.

I would trust what FBI said. A second level IO b.sed be saying FBI does not give out any information at all - not even whether they sent back the prints or not. So my guess is some people will tell anything to get rid of the phone call.

FP may have sent the results back to USCIS, but USCIS has not updated them into their system. It's typical for the IO to say FBI has not sent back results instead of saying that USCIS has not updated the results yet as IO has no way of verifying whether the FBI did in fact send FP results if USCIS has yet to update them into their system.
