Hello Everyone;

I spoke to my lawer about my 7th year extension. He said I have to pay $185 + $500. But his charge is going to be about $2000.

My question is.

1. Is he resonable? to ask $2000 for this. Anyway I gonna get 1 year extension right? not for 3 three years.

2. Changing lawer at this stage is wise? I meant I have filed my labor 9/2001 thro him and he has all my paper work. won't it be a problem for me.

Please help me if any guy knows good reasonable lawer you find. I am living in NNJ.

thanks

One year or 3 years extn, the work load is same for any immigration attorney. For 7th yr extn (1 yr extn) actually attorney has to do more work cautiously.

So only attoney fees for this 1 yr extn varies from $1000 to $1500 , other than INS Fees.

thanks

I have exactly same question as zeifa.
My company wants to apply 7th year extension thro' another Attorney, as the Attorney doing my GC is a bit pricey.
Can somebody specifically answer if there is any downside to doing this through another attorney???
