Changing jobs to new state after 485 filing

Hi,

I am working for an IT company which is asking me to leave(resign) next month. My 485 was filed in DEc 2001 & I am presently in CA. I have been working on H1 till now but now I will have to work on EAD with this new employer. I have an offer from other employer in Chicago area.. What I wanted to know from this group was:

1. Can I work in another state on EAD. What is the impact on my GC
2. Do I need to inform INS about my new location/employer or can I use a local address (My friends address). I have heard INS moves your case to another state if you move...
3. Are there any other implications of job change to another state after 6 mths of 485...

1. Yes. None
2. You can send a letter informing change of employer. But regulations citiing what to send are not in place yet. So most of the people are waiting for BCIS regulations / RFE or approval..
3. May involve a service center transfer ( based on AR11 you file) or a local transfer...
