Changing job on EAD

If I change job on EAD then how much time do I have to inform BCIS about my new employement?

(This change in job is 180 days after filing of I-485).

What if I do not inform BCIS about the new job?

Please suggest.
 
There is no rule/regulation that you have to inform BCIS.
However if it is the same job category with similar responsibilities and salary, it is safer to inform BCIS.
But most probably in your case the old employer might write to BCIS and you will get an employment RFE to respond to...
 
Is there anyway we can find if the previous employer informed BCIS? What is an employment RFE ?

I heard of FOIA where you can request BCIS to send you your file. It will tell you what your employer did. I takes 2 to 3 months to process.
 
My AVM said that additional evidence was requested.
Is there any indication in AVM that tells me if the employer called BCIS abt change of employment?

Whatever AVM or web site says that is very brief and general. To know ehether employer informed BCIS is to

1. Ask employer ( you may no tget right answer)
2. File FOIA with BCIS and get your entire file.
