What if you are interested in only keeping the permanent residence status and not get citizenship? Does leaving "early" jeapordize renewal of the GC after 10 years?
I'm not intending to leave my employer as I actually like working for them, but I can understand that for many people having the little plastic thing does open up new opportunities should they choose to look.

There is no clear cut law that regulates how long you have to work for sponsor and nobody has an answer for that question. Your intent to work for sponsor is important and use your common sense.

I don't think so. They don't ask about your employment history when you apply to renew your card, and they don't deeply scrutinize your life like what they do with naturalization.

Now I feel more comfortable in leaving my GC Sponsor employer in 2 months.
Anything bad can happen to anybody so I do not think we should worry about taking small risks.
Anyways GOD is the one who pulls you out of all the troubles and I believe in HIM.
