I'm reposting these three questions (I think I placed them in the wrong thread....any takers? thanks!!!!
1-Does the OPT permit for F-1 holders have to be requested well in advance? I ask this because I only have three weeks left before graduating....is there a express processing procedure for the EAD (Employment Authorization Document)? The normal processing time takes many months, and I'm looking for employment options starting in mid to late August.
2-Is it still possible to have all the H1-B visa process completed in two to three weeks (from the sponsor filing the required certification and visa premium processing form/fees to the actual visa stamping at a border consular post) if I don't have access to the OPT choice?
3-My F-1 visa was requested for a short time -3 months- (since I was a J-1 before) and BCIS changed the processing time after I received my receipt notice and number....I'm still waiting for the F-1 visa paperwork although I did confirm with BCIS that I could finish my courses as long as I had filed the status change application in advance (as I did) and according to the former processing time (which was 30-60 days)....if the F1 paperwork is still pending and I need to start the H1-B procedure, are there ways in place to initiate it with the F1 paperwork still in process?
Thanks in advance for a reply, it took a while to formulate my questions and I know it will take time to read and answer them!!!!! Again, thanks!!!!
