Change of status in US cancels old visa???

We changed status in the US form B1/B2 to F-1 and F-2. My husband traveled out of USA, can he reenter on old, but with valid date B1/B2 visa?
Even if he left the US with F-2 status two weeks earlier?

COS changes ONLY status for that given stay, and valid existing visa will not be invalidated.
