Hi

I submitted my case just a week ago including DS260.

I think a need to change permanent address I mentioned in DS260 for staying and receiving my GC.
How can I do it before the interview is being scheduled

If I am holding air ticket to USA with 2 airports within USA with layover/change of flight at 1st airport, do I have perform immigration procedure at 1st transit airport with my final destination at 2nd airport. If yes, Normally how long it would take (min & max time) to complete immigration procedure to take connecting flight to final destination airport.

Thanks
Amit

You can change the address during the interview or at the port of entry.

You will go through immigration and customs procedures at the first airport- so you’ll go through immigration, get your immigrant visa stamped, then collect your suitcase, go through customs, drop your suitcase off for the next flight (the airline should have a drop off point right outside customs), then you will need to go back through security into the terminal for your connection. So make sure you give yourself plenty of time on the layover. Both immigration and security lines can vary widely. I tend to be conservative and would give myself at least 3 hours for a connection with this.

If I am holding an air ticket to the USA with 2 airports within the USA and a layover/change of flight at the 1st airport, do I need to perform immigration procedures at the 1st transit airport with my final destination at the 2nd airport? For specific details about your itinerary or airline policies, you can call Volaris customer service for clarification. Generally, you’ll clear immigration and customs at your first point of entry in the USA, even if it’s a transit airport. Let me know if you need further assistance. If yes, Normally how long it would take (min & max time) to complete immigration procedure to take connecting flight to final destination airport.

To update your permanent address in the DS-260 form before your interview is scheduled, you can contact the National Visa Center (NVC) directly. They should be able to assist you with making the necessary changes.

Regarding your flight, if you are flying through two airports in the USA with a layover at the first, you will need to go through immigration at the first airport. The time it takes to complete immigration procedures can vary, but typically, it can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the airport, the time of day, and the number of international flights arriving. Make sure to allow enough time for customs and immigration processing before your connecting flight.
