Change of address while name check is pending

Hi,

My name check has been "pending" for more than 2 years and now I need to move. The USCIS has a form to change address, and their website allows you to do this online too, but, since I already had my interview and my file should be in the DO, how should I change my address?

Not to throw you off topic, but why have you not filed a lawsuit yet??? You should file a WOM as soon as possible, otherwise you may be stuck in name check for an undetermined amount of time.

To answer your question, use either the online form or call customer service and have them change it for you.
 
Thanks for the reply. Well, I have been busy, and frankly, have not really been wanting to deal with this and hoping somehow it may get approved. But it looks like I will have to file WOM anyway.

Back to the topic: for now, I want to make sure I follow the correct procedure to have the address changed.

Question: if I change online, does that change my address at the DO level too? I want to make sure that, if I do get approved, the oath letter does not go to the old address.

As far as I know, the online address change is effective at the DO level as well as service center level. However, I would still do it over the phone, just to be on the safe side.
 
I called the customer service number to change my address and sent out the AR-11 today.

I asked the customer service lady whether I need to do anything at the DO and she said no, but I plan to make an Infopass appointment maybe a month or two from now to make sure the DO got my new address (I would not assume any limit to their stupidity as I've heard stories about their screw-ups).

I am now preparing my WOM package as I am done to this last resort.

This may be a stupid question but how do one find out if their case is pending due to name check?

I am wondering if you could find that out using online case status.

Please let me know.
 
For me, I was told that my name check was pending at my interview. I also made Infopass appontments with the DO and was told the same thing.

me to i change address online on 12/29/2007 that's good to change online send me litter for update your address on 1/2/2008 then after i get litter you case outsid processing time you with for interveiw
