Change B2 visa to marriage green card

So I'm from the UK, and I have just married my girlfriend who is from USA with about 4 months left on my B2 Visa.

We have been together for around a year, flew back and forward to be with each other, and the thought of being apart again is not worth thinking about for us.

So can I change my B2 visa to a marriage visa to stay in the country.
She has a child, so her flying to UK is hard because of school etc..

We need to know the best way to go about this, because there are horror stories of people getting chucked out of the country and not being let in for months on end, some cases years.

Any advice would be a massive help to us.
Thanks in advance

So, theres no way I can stay in USA?

We have been apart 3 times now, It would break my heart to be away from her again.

Is there any reason why they wont change my status to stay with my wife and make me go back to the UK?

Re-read my post again. You can apply for AOS from B-2. However that is not the way you should go about it, ideally.
For the record, absence from a loved one is over-rated.

Haha, damn Trip. You're on fire.

You CAN adjust status in the US. It's just frowned upon. Technically, only if you two genuinely got married in the US spontaneously AFTER you entered on a B2 visa can this be considered. If they ever find out you planned on entering as a tourist and marrying, you'll be hassled. If there's no way they can prove it, you can stay and adjust status. Be prepared to defend your decision. Never tell them it was all premeditated. SPUR OF THE MOMENT!

By the way, time spent apart would be tough, but it's not the end of the world, eh? Leaving and waiting for your immigrant visa will take less than a year.
