Case status message most mysterious - anyone seen this before?

Hi all.

Stats:

5'-4", brown eyes, brown hair....

No, J/K.

WAC022765xxxx
I-485 RD 09/02
1st FP 10/02
2nd FP notice 7/13; appointment date 8/14. No RFE so far.

Until early this week, the message on the online case status page said something about receipt of my FP (first one). Then I checked again last Friday 7/30, and here's what it said:

"Receipt Number:*WAC022765xxxx

Application Type:*I485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:*On July 26, 2004, the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued."

I haven't gotten anything in the mail yet.

Apart from the poor grammar here, what does this mean? Anybody ever seen this message? My immigration attorney is baffled. She's never seen such cryptic message before. You'd think I've been approved, but with expired FP?.... Plus, they say they issued a document - would that be a Notice of Approval, or a plastic GC, or what?

If you have any idea, please let me know.

-------- Your case is approved and your lawyer will get approval notice and if you have your present address on I-485 file you will also get Approval notice in the mail, just wait for 3-5 days

Wierd that you got approved eventhough they send out a second FP notice to you and you haven't gone for your second FP yet, and your first FP expired!

ANyways, congrats!

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but in my case (as well as in some other cases I know about) this status meant that something (most probably your 2nd FP notice) was mailed to you... I do not know how it happens that instead of standard "FP sent..." it says so confusing "document ... based on the approval or registration..." - but it does happen sometimes. In my case it was my 1st FP notice. Actually this status is pretty common - you can search on this forum and find a lot of people confused by such message...
Anyway I hope your time is coming - approval should not be far away from 2nd FPs...

thanks for the reply. I did poke around a bit more and found a thread on the subject. Go figure why this cryptic message! I'm convinced now that it had to do with my 2nd FP notice - it arrived on Saturday after getting bounced back to DHS because they sent it to my old address, though I moved more than a year ago and filed AR-11 right away. A letter came with it saying CSC has updated my address; that had a date of 7/26, though the whole thing didn't get mailed until 7/29. Baffling.... FP appointment is on 8/14, though; so fingers crossed.
