Case status changed from "Decision Pending" to "Application pending"

I finally received the approval after submitting my asylum application 9 years ago. It has been a very long and difficult wait, but it’s finally over. Congratulations! Did you use WOM to get the interview scheduled? I see your timeline, and noticed getting the decision is really quick after the interview. Please share more details if you can, it really helps others still waiting…… thank you!

I didn’t use WOM. I submitted my asylum application in November 2016, and my interview took place on September 26, 2025. I waited almost 9 years. After the interview, I received my approval notice a little over 40 days later. Everyone’s timeline is different. I know some people get their results in about two weeks, while others wait more than a year.

Application pending to decision pending on Dec 18,
decision pending up to now…

Could anyone give some insights into this? Thank you! Wish you all a Happy and Prosperous 2026 ahead of you!!
 
Has anyone received a second interview notice or maybe even already had it? If so, how did it go? Mine is 'application pending' currently. Had first interview in August.
