Card Tracker for PP Stamping in NOV, 2004.

Thanks for sharing Anish_GC. When you walked in your local office, did they ask for info pass appointment paper? I thought without that paper, they will not allow you to enter the local office. And what document did you bring with you? since it is still within 6 months timeline as they told us to wait for the card, I am afraid they could reject our inquiry. But you were lucky that they found the problem and solved it right there.

If it is possible all of you should go or call the local USCIS office to know your details.

In my case I had called Vermont Service center( 1800-375-LATE) and found it useless since the person answering the phone most of the time only repeats your online message and gives you standard information to wait. The local office will tells your exact details and in case they need additional photos or fingerprints for the plastic card they will do it there itself. They had taken photos (same photos submitted at stamping time) & fingerprints for the plastic card in my case on 25th Jan 2005 again.( They did not inform me anything about my photos & fingerprints taken at stamping time on 11/10/04)

Hi Anish,

Under what category did you seek Infopass appt - was it to "Speak with an Immigration officer" My wife also wants to go to local office and check

Card Mailed ....

Card Mailed today.

KXS2 & gc_Despo,
I have read from this forum that you can initiate an inquiry if you do not recieve your card within 60 days.
In my case I walked in without an appiontment since albany,ny office is deserted all the time.

According to the thread http://www.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?t=99168 some of them have taken an appointment. You may want to check the above mentioned thread.

You should call the local office to find out if you need an appointment or not.

Good Luck

Anish

Called USCIS today again. Talked to immigration officer had no luck. Per officer it might take one more month or so....

My wife has been having multiple LUD changes after PP stamping, but so far no change in message to "Card Ordered". My card was recieved Dec 31. We dont know what the problem is, so we have taken an Infopass appt for her next Wednesday at San Jose.

Does anyone have any idea what may be going on

Timeline:

I-485 AD: Nov 2 2004
PP Stamped: Nov 24 2004
LUD changed: Dec 8 2004, Jan 26 2005, Feb 7 2005, Feb 8 2005

For me:
I-485 AD: Nov 8 2004
PP Stamped: Nov 24 2004
LUD: Dec 8 2004, then card ordered Dec 21 2004, recieved Dec 31 2004

Sick to talk to those guys.

Infopass appointment made on next Friday.

gc-despo, your wife's card will be ordered today or tomorrow.

congrats yankees, NVC, anish

gc-despo, hope your wife will get her card in a week.

rajibda and yygov, you guys are right, it is no use of talking to the immigration officer.only options we have is be patient and keep trying.

I also called couple of weeks, the immigration officer is not at all listening what i am saying and more over he told me not to call them frequently.

keep this thread live as along as possible. I wish all of us get our cards soon

All,

My wife contacted her attorney's office (big law firm) who said that they have of late been inundated with this problem of one spouse getting the plastic card and the other spouse not getting despite stamping on the same day. Attorney advised us to wait at least until 6 months from date of stamping, and then they can follow up with VSC.

All I can say, VSC is great!!! How they can process one spouse's card without processing the other beats all logic...

If it is possible you should go or call the local USCIS office to know your details.

Why do you need card for job change? Stamp ought to be good enough.

TrackGC_04 ,
I think we are in the same boat, mine is also the same case as yours the LUD never changed after 12/10/2004. My wife got the card on 12/07/2004, we both did the stamping on the same day(11/08/2004). I called USCIS several times but nothing happend. Last couple of times I talked to IIO but LUD remains same. I will wait for another month and then will go to local INS and talked to an IIO there. That's what I am thinking now. Let me know what will be your plan or if you have some idea. I will be calling USCIS again next week :D .

gc-despo,

You are right, card is not needed for any job. stamping is good enough.

Unfortunately our HR don't know that Stamping is good enough. she is insisting on the physical card . i am working for this company for the last three years as a consultant. i don't to argue with her.

i will keep update you guys about my status

gc-despo, any updates on your case?

Yesterday, my wife and I went to San Jose CIS office with Infopass appt. We got a very loud and rude officer. Initially, he shocked us by saying to my wife "You are showing a passport stamp, but my system does not show you are approved". But one second later he said "Now I see on a 2nd screen that you were approved on 10/5/2004. You are a permanent resident. Your card has not yet been ordered. Your I-89 form reached VSC on Dec 7 2004. Call VSC using 800 number to get any more information. I cannot tell you anything more". So we said "Thank You" and left.

Atleast we confirmed that she is approved, and we just have to wait for the physical card.....
