Hi gurus

I am new to I485 stage. I have a doubt. I am on H1B and got labor certification cleared. My wife is also working on H1B visa in IT fields.Can I apply I485 for my wife (who is on H1B visa) as dependant. Technically she is working on H1B now converted from H4 two months back. I appreciate your information. Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I got my 485 approved yesterday. How should I get the passport stamped. Do I have to make an appointment ? I live in NJ and got my 485 approved from NSC.
I appreeciate your inputs..

Yes you can apply I485 for your wife, it does not matter whether she is in H1B/H4B status.

You are adding you wife as dependent on your case. her green card approval depends on your case approval.

you have to take an appointment (use infopass system), then you have to go to newark,nj for stamping

Card received: 2/14/05 (a good Valentine's day present)

The card was sent in an envelop very unlike other communications from USCIS, and looks just like another junk mail. Pay attention to what you receive before you throw them away.
 
Folks ,

I have a simpe question .

If we delay the process of going for Stamping , Will it delay the issue of Card ?

Is there anybody who did stamping with out approval notice in hand ?

If we delay the process of going for Stamping , Will it delay the issue of Card ? from what i understand, yes. when you get the approval notice, it clearly states in there that the NEXT step is to get your passport stamped. They take more fingerprints and additional pictures.

Is there anybody who did stamping with out approval notice in hand ?
