Card received but has error :-(

We received the PR card y'day but our gender was mixed up. Did anyone have the same problem? How long does it take to get the corrected card?

Found the information to rectify the error in the BCIS website. I would appreciate if anyone with similar experience can post the details.
 
I know a case where the wife's photo was on the husbands card. They went back to the office and pointed out their mistake. Take photographs again with you. There may be a charge for the correction, but insist that it was their fault not yours. You can get away with it if you have a sympathetic person at the counter.
 
It happend to us also.
You need to go to the INS office in person and file I-90,write a letter of explaination also. The fees will be waived, but you need to wait another year also for the new ( Hopefully correct) cards.

A friend of mine received her card earlier this year (Jan) with an invalid place of birth. She is still waiting to receive the corrected card. Yes - sometimes it's like waiting for it all over again.

But I pray that yours is faster...good luck.
