Card production ordered

Got an email from the uscis that the card production has been ordered. Has been a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong wait. Good luck to all that are still waiting
Recap: called for an interview on june 20. I was freaked out because I had renewed my passport through mail after grant of asylum. That issue never arose. All the officer asked me are the yes/no questions and the dates I was arested in my COP. She took my I94 and the RTD and told me that a decision will be sent in the mail soon.;)

Congratulations,

The process took one year and 8 months. What was the cause of the delay?
USCIS website says that the processing time for I-485 is 4 months.

I just got mine yesterday as well. Very similar situation to yours filed in March 2008 and got Approval notice in June 2010 little over 2 years but Thank GOD its finally over. Even though i didn't have any arrest in COP mine was stuck based on Background check and after reading all those 212 inadmissible issues I was kinda scared but it got done and it was back dates to 2009. I would say to those who are waiting for their GC keep on making inquires on your I485 applications.

What kind of background check? Was it FBI name check or something else?

Does USCIS initiates name check again for I-485? I though it was already done for the asylum application.

My asylum case took almost 11 months because of the name check process. Does that mean I have to wait so long again when I apply for the green card.

Remember there are 2 types of checks involved in this process background check or also called name check and FBI. You will have to go through the FBI and name check when you file i485. This is a mandatory process and all the applicants have to go through this.
Now the time it took on mine was based on name check/background check and if you get stuck in this process it can take years. I hope i answered your questions

Isn't it fraustrating? They will do the same asylum application background check again, hopefully it won't take long time.

Raziel,
I remember that your asylum name check process took almost 8 months and mine took 11 months. This was after USCIS announced the improvement in the name check process.

I hope we don't get stuck again in the name check.

I heard that they use name check result of the asylum application when you file I-485. Is that true?
