Card Ordered

I got this email from USCIS.

On March 5, 2005, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.

I was not expecting this kind of notice before sending me a welcome letter.
Another thing i didn`t know that they process cases on weekends because 03/05 was a Saturday.

Does this mean that my card will be sent in due course without sending a welcome letter?

My AD is 08/10/04
Got PS 08/16/04

Any insight is more than welcome.

--- not all get welcome letter, you may get welcome letter in 5-6 days

For us, card ordered for my kid ... no signs of card orders for myself and spouse. Any one in simillar situation?.

I got the same yesterday MAr -9-05 but i did not recieve any welcome letter. My passport was stamped on feb-23-05. How long does it take to get the physical card. Does anybody know.
