Can't afford a divorce

Hey guys, I have a little issue here. Me and my wife can't afford a divorce and we don't live together anymore. Does the immigration care if we live together or not? I have the CPR btw.

Thank you

Which state do you live in? How long have you been married to your spouse? As Triple said above, when you file for I-751, then USCIS will really really care about your separate but married lives. It will be a doozy when USCIS adjudicate the removal of conditions. Isn't free online divorce sites in this country? If not, then maybe I should start this business venture, can you imagine liberating millions of miserable married couple from reach other, while making yourself happy at the nearest bank?

Do I have to file the I-751 right after I get divorced, or Can I wait till the green card is expired?

It is possible for uncomplicated divorces in the US to be filed by the divorcing parties without using an attorney. It is not optimal but a possible solution. There is a good freeadvice forum which has much information in its family law section. Look there for advice.

I've got that covered;)

Thanks a lot for your answers

Koora,

That's more like it. Keep on living man and find a new life which I hope will heal the wounds of your past marriage. However, use some antiseptic to wash and take care of those wounds, you will need them properly healed to move forward friend...;)
