Hi,
I am a Canadian citizen and I have been living in Europe for the past two years (I have not filed tax in Canada as a resident and I did not have a home in Canada during this time). Now I am looking for a job in California without staying in Canada for a significant amount of time.
Given the type of jobs I am looking for and my credentials, I am pretty sure that I will be able to meet the requirements of TN. But will the lack of residential ties with Canada in the past two years will be a problem for me? (I read in this forum that there is not a question about this in the TN checklist used by USCIS) If this could be a problem is there a way to make up for this?
Thanks,
