Canadian passport renew questions.

Hi, anybody know how long does it take to renew Canadian passport from US now? Does the Canadian passport office call your employer or references to verify your status?

They call whomever you put as references, for identification purposes. They don't care about your status in another country.
In any event, what do you have to hide?

I sent in the forms (via courier) to renew my passport on January 5 and received it on January 25.

I live in Houston and have no idea if this is the typical turnaround time or not.

Yes, they called the references on my forms.

It did not take more than 45 days when I did a renewal while in the US. They called all my references and the Passport was on its way back to me before they even billed my Mastercard
