Are these timings the same for going through the consular processing route from Canada or are they generic for every country ?

Secondly to start this consular process, What are the forms required ?

i think i put the est time for consular processing above, uscis is very inconsistent so no one can give an accurate timeline. to get consular processing started you need to complete form I130 and everything it requires.

Regarding the G-325A, one form has to be filled out by my wife who is sponsoring me and the second form by me. Each form has a place for the signature by the applicant. So would I sign my own form or does she has to sign my form too ??

worried of what may happen...

I am a USC that got married to a Canadian who was in the states about a year ago. My wife was working in the US as a registered nurse. We are now trying to figure out what we need to do to get her a green card. We spoke to a immigration lawyer that wants to charge us $4000 to get this done. I honestly had no clue as to how difficult it would be for her to get a US citizenship. My wife says she has heard of stories where if she was to go home that she may not be allowed to come back. I thought that if you got married there would be no issues but I'm realizing how foolish that might have been. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Aloha.
