Can you work if your H1 extension is not yet approved? Please help

Can some one tell me if your H1 extension beyond 3 years is pending can your still work if your first H1 expired? Thanks for inputs.

If you have filed for H1 extension before the expiration of your current H1, you can continue employment till the INS decides on the outcome of the case.

Absolutely correct. This is a subtle but very important distinction, especially considering how long H-1 extensions are taking. File 60 days before expiry, and you should be good.
