Hello.

If my spouse doesnt have Naturalization certificate, or Certificate of Citizenship, Can we Send a copy of my spouse's passport? and it will work like Naturalization certificate, or like Certificate of Citizenship ?

Thank you :)

Hmmm I don't know - I wanna say "yes" but since he was naturalized, he may need the added proof of that. For my i485 interview my usc hubby is also taking his birth certificate :) Hope this helps

For what purpose? For what kind of application?

for N-400

and the reason i am asking, because on my Spouse Certificate of Citizenship it says on the marital Status "Divorce" and for sure the Previews Marriage. and we never changed it .. so i dont know if we should to send it with the application or not

So you are applying based on 3 years of marriage to a US citizen? Sending a copy of either the passport or certificate will work (bring the original to the interview). The marital status showing as divorced on the certificate doesn't matter, as long as the date on the certificate is before you began your marriage.

Hi And thanks for your responds.

well when my spouse filed for the Replacment of Certificate of Citizenship we were Married. but i wasnt in the USA at that time. because we got married in 2003 so when i came to USA in 2005 My spouse recieved th Certificate but it shows on the marital status Divorce, and the Certificate was Issued on 2006

That means we were Married in 2003 and my spouse applied for it in 2004 recieved it in 2006.
so what do u think i really dont want to send it because they will ask if we were married in 2003 and my spouse applied for it in 2004 why it says Divorce on it.. i dont know if we should to correct it but it will take a long time to be corrected.

Your spouse's previous marital status on her naturalization certificate does not affect your eligibility since the current marriage certificate demonstrates that she is married to you.

The N-565 asks for marital status. If your spouse specified "divorced" when applying for the replacement certificate, that could cause a problem if USCIS notices the discrepancy during your naturalization process.
