Can we book online?

My family won DV-2008 and we got our visas.
Now we are thinking about our flight.
I have always booked my tickets through a travel agency,but this time I'm looking online at sites like: travelocity.com,expedia.com,etc.
The agency has always asked for a copy of my passport and visa but I don't see they require this type of information online.

My question is: Can we book online or we're going to have troubles later?
Can they denie you boarding?

if your passport has a valid visa, and your ticket has the name spelling as your passport, I dont see how anything could go wrong!!!

I always buy tickets for my parents through expedia.

The only problem I can foresee is that Expedia or Travelocy may not accept a foreign-based credit card as a form of payment. Better research it.

You can always buy the tickets directly from the airline as well.

Can you use an e-ticket for an international flight or a paper ticket is required?

most companies provide e-tickets. There are very few that still offer paper tickets.
