Can they stop you from Oath for 5-day travel?

The oath letter asks if I travelled since the interview, and I did for 5 days, so I have to check the box "yes". Would they automatically stop me from taking the oath/certificate then? Do you have experience if this happened? Or do they only ask something like how many days I was outside, and if few enough, then they let me take the oath/certificate? Thanks a lot for your advice.

Well, it depends on your physical presence in the US. Do you have more than enough days in the US, or are you close to the 900 day mark?

If those 5 days broke the continuous residence requirement, your application will be denied.
However, chances are that you're fine, unless you were on the edge of breaking the above requirement.

A 5 day trip between interview and oath is not something they would stop you for.

If the interview is still in the 5 year period (since you apply 3 months before the end of the 5 years), and you're very close to your 913 days, and the 5 days would put you over, then it would matter for your physical presence. In my case, for example, I will be very close.

Based on Bobsmyth's reply, that physical presence counts only until the application filing, I am a little puzzled why they care about those travels after the filing and after the interview. Do you have an idea?

I think physical presence is required to be maintained for the 5 year period for which you are applying. Continuous residence is required to be maintained until oath.
