Can they leave US after Green Card interview?

hi,
I applied green cards for my parents in US. Their interview is coming. They want to leave US right after interview. Is that OK? Can I mail the green cards to them?
Can we ask IO to stamp on their passports?

Do they have Advance Parole, or a dual-intent visa like H1B or L1?

If not, leaving the US right after the interview would cancel their I-485, unless they get the I-551 stamp in their passport. If they overstayed before applying for the green card, that would also jeopardize their case if they left the US before green card approval.

I didn't apply AP for them. Interview will be on 05/03. Do you think we can have enough time to get AP? Visa, they have right now is B1.

You can try applying for an expedited AP.
