Can one be faulted for unintentionally written wrong parent"s date of birth?

Realized this after being issued green card and do not know if it will affect me as I am applying for a job position that requires parents' date of birth.

I do not know if i should write down the one I'd written during visa lottery application or the the real one.

Please...does anyone has an idea?
So confused.

Parent's date of birth? That is an unusual question for a job application. It might even be illegal to ask that for somebody over 18. Find out if it is really required for somebody your age.

But if you have to list the age, put the correct date of birth. Even if you made a mistake on the immigration petition, your parent would have shown the passport and/or birth certificate with the correct DOB for the green card process, and the correction would have been made.

You would knowingly lie. You should have corrected your error long ago since at that time it was a simple mistake. Now it is a deliberate falsification. If you are applying for a security clearance (which is one of the few times I know that information about parents is requested by an employer), you have demonstrated that you are unfit.

Thank guys I appreciate your comments. I have put down the right date of birth. thanks very very much
