Can my wife apply for EAD with H4 pending

I have one question, please help...

My wife's H4 is pending (from F1 OPT to H4). And she got a job offer recently. Can she apply for EAD with H4 pending?

My 140 was approved in April 2004, and we filed 485 in Nov. 2004.

----- Yes, if she derivative filed I-485, H4 petition or extension or COS to H4 has nothing to do with EAD, EAD is based on her pending I-485. remember if she Uses EAD then she will not be on H4 status, she will need AP to be approved in Hand before she goes out of US
