Can my GC allow me to visit Canada?

hi Everyone
I received my GC, and wanted to make a trip to Canada to visit my sister.
But my passport is from the country that need visa to enter Canada.
I heard that if I have GC, I can visit Canada without visa.
Is that true?
Is this is the same thing for Mexico, Virgin Island, Bahamas?

It is certainly true for Canada - you can travel with your passport and green card, you do not need a visa! You can check here:

Canada = Will let you enter visa free if you have your GC on you
Mexico = Will let you enter visa free if you have your GC on you
Bahamas = Will let you enter visa free if you have your GC on you
Virgin Islands = Which one? US or UK?

Is this is the same thing for Mexico, Virgin Island, Bahamas?
