Can I verify if my DO has received FBI name check results

My US citizenship interview is scheduled on 9/23. I wanted to know if there's a way to find out if my FBI name check results are back.

I've seen cases where interviewer couldn't make a decision because name check was pending.

Is it possible to call FBI and determine if my name check is cleared?
Is it possible to call USCIS and determine if my name check is cleared?
 
No, you can't check the status of name check.

If you have your interview scheduled, its most likely your name check is cleared.
 
Here was my experience.
About a week or 2 after I went for my FP appointment, I received another notice saying that my FP's were unreadable by the FBI and I was scheduled for another interview about 2 wks later. A day after I received my 2nd FP notice, I received my interview letter, scheduling the interview about 8wks later.
I went to have myself re-fingerprinted and the date of my interview came without me receiving any notices. It was a good thing that I got my police clearance anyway (I did this just in case my 2nd FP's were no good) and brought it to the interview. It was only at the interview that I learned that my 2nd set of FP's did not take either. Since I had my police clearance with me, the officer approved the case and gave me the oath letter right after.
So at least in my case, a scheduled interview is not a guarantee that the name check has cleared.
 
Interesting case. Based on what you've written, it was your FP which was no good and IO accepted police report in place of FP results. This doesn't say that your name check wasn't cleared, and it must've been cleared already because you were given a oath letter then and there.

You can not check anything related to FP or Name acheck with IO. They will not tell you anything and tell you to just wait.

Again, not true. You have to know what and how to ask. I've gotten IO to tell me the status of name check and FP over the phone.
 
Bobsmyth - My interview is scheduled for 9/23, so I don't know who my IO will be. I am trying to pro-actively determine if name check is done so that I know what to expect on the day of my interview. Unless you are telling that it's possible to call my DO and ask for any IO.

If your interview is scheduled, it means your name check and FP have been cleared. It's relatively very rare that they schedule interview if name check hasn't been completed, so you are worrying yourself too much in trying to proactive about it by finding out if the name check has indeed been completed.
 
Would it be too much of a bother for you to bring police clearance, just in case?
In my case, since I only lived in one place for the last 5 yrs, it really wasn't that big of a deal (it just set me back $20).

Police clearance would only help if your FP failed twice due to poor quality. It does nothing for you if your name check hasn't cleared yet. Unless you're certain your FP hasn't passed twice due to poor quality, obtaining police report is pointless.
