Can i retract name change request during the interview?

I had requested name change when i filed my n400. since the name change will delay my oath， i decide not to change at this time. am i just wondering if i can retract my name change request during my interview? should i contact the USCIS before interview? please help.thank you.

Yes, you can. Just let your IO know that you've changed your mind. There's no need to contact the USCIS in advance.

I have done this during the interview.

When I said I don't want to do the name change, it raised my IO's eyebrows and she was curious to know the reason.

thank you for you all reply s. I will ask IO to retract my name change request on ID ,hopefully i can passed the test and get the oath on the same day!
