Dear Experts, and members:

I got my DV-2005 immigrant visa stamp in October, in Montreal and will be traveling from Toronto to Kansas on immigrant visa, since I got immigrant visa my H1 was canceled.
My questions:

1) Where will the actual I-551 processing take place, in Toronto before take-off or when I get to Kansas airport?

2) I'll stay in Kansas for a few days then I'll need to return to Toronto..should I tell the officer this? or should just say that I am moving permantly?

3) What documents you recommend I bring (other than original immig docs, etc)

4) My employer is still in Toronto..that is the reason for return to Canada until May 2005?

5) Will I have any problems re-entering Canada (work permit still valid)?

I am leaving in one week. Any suggestions, insights very, very, very much appreciated.

Thanks.

the annotation will take place at the airport, unless there is a U.S. consular checkpoint in toronto

permanently.
3) What documents you recommend I bring (other than original immig docs, etc)
nothing.

4) My employer is still in Toronto..that is the reason for return to Canada until May 2005?
is that a question?

I don't know. Why, do you know something we don't?
