Hello all
My wife and I got our GC ( thru my employer) in July 2004. I was told that I can apply when I am 4yrs 9 mos into GC. Can some one clarify that my wife and I can apply this May
Also, once we get Citizenship, can we go to our home country and stay there for say 2 yrs without worrying about citizenship loss?

A1. Yes, you can apply in 4 yrs and 9 months from your GC issue date
A2.After your citizenship you can stay anywhere in the world but do not forget to pay Uncle Sam every year!!!

You can apply 90 days before 5 years on GC and meet residency requirement.

Yes: US can stay out side the country
