can i apply for I-131/I-765 later

I am applying for my wife'w I-485..she doesn't need work permit as she is a student w/ TA.
Can we apply for these documents , if needed, at a later stage.
what is the +/- about this?

Yes you can, you can apply for these at any time while you Adjustment of Status is pending. There is not +/-, I applied for my I-131 after I sent the I-485 and my Travel Document was approved in 28 days :D

In file 485, is this Part 2 (a) , the right one for citizenship bases sponsorship? (see below) (this is the eligibility criteria)


Part 2. Application type.

a. an immigrant petition giving me an immediately available immigrant visa number has beenapproved. (Attach a copy of the approval notice, or a relative, special immigrant juvenile orspecial immigrant military visa petition filed with this application that will give you animmediately available visa number, if approved.)

is she in F-1 /J-1 status right now?

depending on the school, the international center may or may not consider her F-1 status abandoned once she files for AOS, and may or may not require her to have a separate AOS EAD.
 
she is F-1..

in I-485, (also in I-693?) there is a box for A#. I have an approved I-130 (green card based) for my wife. I don't think there is any mention of her A# on that...what do we fill in there?
Ditto for my kid who is born (citizen) here..
