Can I apply for H1B? No official degree, but huge work and academic experience. And I have sponsor.

I am currently F1 visa student doing Engineering Major. I have been studding in US already 3 years, and I will soon earn my associate's degree then transfer to Bachelor program in Computer science. I used to study in my home country for 3 years, but they didn’t transfer my credits so I started here form scratch. However, I am a great web developer and Internet specialist with 10 years of experience (working in my country with many companies – full time and as a freelancer, and I had an internship here in USA in huge web design company).

Now, I am doing a free internship for a small web design studio. Since I started helping them with everything, they grow much faster and they see me as they key to succeed. They want to sponsor me now, to let me work immediately full time for them.

Is this possible? Can you suggest me some Lawyer in New York City who can help me in my situation? Or can I take care of everything by myself?

Thank you BigJoe5! That sounds good for me :)

What do you suggest? Should I take care of everything by myself and ask employer to help me fill out all documents? Or it is better to hire some lawyer?
What is your experience with that?
