I filed I-485 in June along with EAD. I didn't file for Advance Parole assuming that my GC will be cleared in six months. Now with retrogression, not sure when I will get the GC.
Is there any way we can apply AP now? I know that we can get AP showing emergency situation. Does USCIS allow applying for AP seperately for non emergency matters?
One more seperate question, I have H1 visa valid till Feb 2007. My passport expired recently and I got it renewed. They sent my old/new passports stapled together. If I go out of country, can I come back with the valid visa on the expired passport? Do I need to go to consulate for stamping again?
