Hi,
I get H1 on Oct 1st from firm A, and i work for firm B since i have got a good offer. Firm B has agreed to transfer H1. Now can i start working for Firm B while they apply for a transfer? Or do i need to work for A for atleast 2 months to get 2 paystubs and then work for Firm B? Its very confusing, will someone help me out?
Thanks.

need help on the same line..

I appilied for H1 thru some consultants in May 2006(we paid for the H1-b Money). but i can not work for that company before Oct 1 2006 since that where the H1-B time approval time starts.
yesterday i leanrt that he made us sign a contract for 1 year(if we break it we have to payback $10K back to consultant). we are in california.

Now the question is
1. how valid this contract is if we are in california.
2. If i get full time job in some company can i apply for H1-B transfer.
3. What all we need for H1-b Transfer.

Please help me.

thanks in advance.
